This large experimental equipment is aimed at evaluating structural strength, rigidity, and toughness by installing a whole building frame or test piece of partially combined member, and applying force by a hydraulic jack. Normally in the experiment, an actual building frame is built on the reaction floor and pressed by a hydraulic jack from the reaction wall. For that purpose, rigid floor and wall are essential. Both the wall and floor are made of thick reinforced concrete and supported by high-strength reinforcing steels called PC reinforced rods.
