This experimental laboratory can reproduce brightness distribution of cloudy sky condition specified by CIE (Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage) .The brightness of the sky is the highest at the zenith above the test piece and gets lower toward the horizon. In this laboratory, the brightness distribution can be reproduced. By installing a building frame of the test piece in the laboratory and measuring the illumination intensity and brightness, we estimate the light environment of the building inside. The measurement result will help to design a top light of the residence or an atrium of a large building, where the light comes in.
